Modern Moravian simplicity meets
the magical muse of the blue ridge mountains

Hello!

I took a lot of these with my dodgy iphone - and I am NOT a professional photographer so please bear with me!

I thought we’d start off with just a few pictures of the outside.

The first photo is from our neighbor’s porch taking a photo of our place, then more from our front porch, the barn and locust fenced vegetable garden in the mist, vegetable garden and blue ridge mountains in the background, a glimpse of my flower garden in autumn.

Onto the victorian farmhouse -here’s the front hexagonal room that is our study/library/painting studio room & a two of our wide front hall:

Here’s our sweet vaulted eat-in kitchen.

We have both the round table (currently in use) and the painted rectangle table (living on our huge front ricing porch -which I sadly don’t have a great photo of….. :)) The stove is a working vintage that we’ve used for 20 years.

Our kiddo’s room. I clearly didn’t scrub all the clutter, just giving a taste of it:

Our living room & our bathroom:

Bedroom glimpses,

I sew a bit out of our bedroom as my small studio is beginning to be built out of 2 stalls in the downstairs portion of our barn. I have included some fancy photos of me sewing in our bedroom, but hopefully this will just be our bedroom soon! Though that sexy wardrobe will always remain…

A few more outside glimpses + a couple photos of the barn loft sprung dance floor where we host dancers in residence during the summer months:

there are more photos, like of the mowed path in the meadow beside the creek & ancient apple orchard …but this is a good smattering of an overview. The last photo is of our annual field concert happening down at our big red barn. A link to the cottage guesthouse on the property is after this gallery.

And there’s also a really sweet guesthouse on our property that we converted out of the old separate summer kitchen of our farmhouse. The easiest way to share it is its airbnb link: click here
