blog reader: – why do you share your personal hard stuff on your journal?
me: you know those blogs that are all about how pretty life is and then one day the blogger explodes and tells you it’s all a bunch of crap and being perfect is making them stressed to the hilt about that false conspiracy?
blog reader: yeah?
me: this isn’t one of those.
Unabashed apparel is about a lot of things. Ask me. I’ll tell you. You’ll wonder when I’ll take a breath. You’ll wonder if dresses can really hold all the wonder and grief and joy that is this living- and the answer is yes. Yes. Dresses do exactly that. They mask us or uncover us. They comfort and dare – and one thing is sure: I want a life of the grit. The authenticness that is truly living. And living in my skin. In my clothes. And not being ashamed that sometimes I pedal around on a bicycle with flowers and red lipstick – and sometimes – I haven’t shaved my legs in 10 years, my hair is nasty – my skin is pissed – I’m a big ole mess and crying in my bib overalls whilst lolling in the dirt of life. And shit friends – that’s Unabashed too.
