I’m slowly starting a new venture. And I have an itching in my thumbs that in my personal life – I won’t be creating swishy skirts and soft sweet dresses. I’ll be making tough duds. Things that have pockets for lizards and dirt. Thank goodness for goddaughters. That itch does make me take a hard look at what I’d put on a wee gent – and what they’d actually wear.
I feel strangely destined to have a whole passel of boys. And no – they are no where near my horizon. But I feel them there still – rough and tumble with sweet red cheeks, runny noses and grubby fists. Do you have inklings like that?
I best be learning how to make a newsboy cap.
I have an inkling that even if you have daughters, you will need to know how to make a newsboy cap. Just sayin’……
I always thought i’d have a daughter to sew for and now I have a little BOY! He is pretty fun to sew for and I have made shirts, jeans and yes indeed, I want to make a newsboy cap too! It is a funny thing how when you see patterns and books for childrens clothes they almost always mean GIRLS clothes. But easy enough to make our own patterns anyway! Love your posts.
