Yes. It’s Wednesday but I had a shitty day yesterday. So did the dog. Do you know those days?
Sometime I’ll tell you what the last four years have looked like. It’s taken a lot of gratitude fridays to keep a girl going. On an especially busy week finding those moments of glimmer are few and far between. Enter Serenity Eyre.
Y’all know Serenity. Or you should. She’s been my makeup artist for years of fashion shows and fashion shoots. Do you know when you know a makeup artist isn’t just a makeup artist? It’s after you’ve been to see her for a little fun time and later you get stopped on the street by random strangers and they say things like, “You are beautiful.” And you look in the mirror and you still look like yourself. Yes friends that’s The Serenity.
She’s one of my best secrets. I’ve decided I shouldn’t be so stingy. Serenity has a web site full of past portfolio work. You can find it on my Links page – or you can click along here.
And during the wonderful time I spent with her learning all manners of makeup and shimmer secrets, and miraculously having my powers of speech and function returned to me – I found out she is now an owner -with the fabulous Scott Thompson of Makeup at the Grove. I can’t be more excited for them. Such a duo!
I’m gushing I know – but you should have seen me when I walked in and how I looked and felt when I walked out. So this is a big ole thank you to a grand dame and an amazingly talented friend.
*p.s. you know when you visit your hair stylist or, ahem, makeup artist, and you feel like you’ve just had a damn good therapy session? You did – tip them big, they’re worth every cent.
Oh my! Stunning!
I love you SB. :-*
You are an Angel and a Saint (how do you do that and still have such Devilish charm?). I love you Ms.!
Love you all! Thank you.
