I don’t wear flats. The flattest thing I wear are my tenny runners (a dear friend calls them that – great right?)
I have thick ankles. Need someone to pick up hay bales? Shovel mulch, carry you out of a house on fire? I’m your girl.
So ballet flats aren’t my thing. I know they’ve been everywhere and everyone loves them – but I think they end up looking like they ought to be combined with a MooMoo on most gals with curves. There’s a reason they call them ballet flats. They look great on those gazelle type creatures.
Flipping through Sundance catalog the other day these almost changed my mind:
I thought I should let someone know these two are getting to me. So you could pass me a MooMoo if I loose my convictions and start wondering around thinking I look like Audrey.
it is my observation that tree stump ankles, um I mean sturdy ankles (ha) (mine, not yours) are not seen when ballet slippers are worn with jeans/pants. just sayin’ …if you decide you must have a pair.
yeah, but I walk different. Little bit of heel = confident stride. Ballet flat = waddle 😉
