This week – my cup runneth over:
I’m grateful for all the wonderful mentions of Ua’s s/s11 collection. Such support and admiration from fine friends. Find the posts here:
I’m grateful for the life of a dear dog friend who passed away this week. I’m grateful for the immense love and grace that the furry friends give us. Haven Grace – you were one of a kind. You’ll be missed.
I’m grateful that it’s supposed to be warm and wonderful for the rest of February AND that even if it isn’t we’ll be warm and toasty in my household because, oh yes, Pumpkin Hill is complete. It’s sad little fireplace and sadder empty chimney have been filled with a mighty sexy wood-stove. I’m like a little kid over the shiny wood-pipe sticking out of my chimney and the wonderful spicy, velvety smell of woodsmoke lingering around my sweet home. The dogs have found it -and almost try to climb into it when it’s lit and glowing.
I’ll have a picture someday – until then, it looks just like this sweet drawing by Rachael Anderson:
So maybe it doesn’t have antlers. But it could.
I’m grateful for tinkling laughter of dear friends.
For good gossip. The kind that isn’t hurtful, the kind that is about keeping up with your friends and loved ones and their friends and loved ones.
For s/s12 slowly creeping into my mind and winding its way through my thoughts like a magical vine tendril. For the inspiration deepening. Taking its own turns. Changing from a flight of fancy into something deeper, smokier, and a little wild.
Have a great weekend. Me? I’m going to dream and clean and take a hike and see a dear friend – it’s been ages. I’m grateful for that too.

Thanks, Sarahbeth. I’m so sorry about your pup friend. I owe you an email–this week went pretty topsy turvy and I’m playing catch up. xo
Thanks for the sympathy 🙂 You are totally fine – we’ll stay in touch – no pressure!
