This is a real live Monday. We drove back from Charleston late yesterday evening and so today is the most Monday of Mondays ever. That was the first vacation I’ve had in – ouch, let’s not talk about how long.
Leaving my drive – you don’t need a translation for that face do you?
Charleston = salty fro hair, brother’s extremely disturbing hand feet, Gracia constantly talking about sharks, loosing all card/word games, chocolate covered pomegranate seeds, weird weird sunburn lines, cute babies on the beach, sweet and simple weddings, and -of-course – trashy mystery novels.
We walked around Charleston for 1 day and went into 2 shops – 1 was a coffee shop for iced coffee and air conditioning. The heat was brutal. The 2nd was my most favorite shop of all time: Worthwhile. They always get it right. The clothing is amazing and I want almost all of it. That in itself is a miracle – but the things they stock their shelves with – ingenious. Gorgeous tape. Like masking, but beautiful. Who knew? Evidently – Worthwhile knew.
Andrew and I suffered some serious leg rash from walking around all day in all that humidity and heat. If you are super lucky – and I’m feeling super self deprecating I may post a picture of us walking home – like we’d just gotten off a 3 day ride on a mean mule.
It’s a Monday type of walk. Cheers!
