I have things to do, dresses to sew, patterns to draft and photoshoots to get in order. There are custom wedding dresses to make, blue fabric to source and songstresses to drape, but the late spring green makes this dreary chill day glow and I find myself collecting all my letter writing bits and heading to the front porch. Sketchbook in hand -shaking my head at The Muse, that doesn’t wait until chores are done.
My favorite postcard ever – loom needles by Daogreer Earthworks
I love an elegant tag – this one was attached to the most beautiful fedora by Julie Kapustka
A card I have hanging in my studio that brings me back – to simplicity – From Plum Elements in Charleston: Plum Elements is the most amazing store – she has curated things perfectly. A small art gallery with cards and small goodies – it’s perfect and I’m itching to stop in when we head down in June.
My foxgloves are blooming like they mean it. I’ve been in love with foxgloves ever since I saw this picture. It’s my absolute favorite picture of Tasha Tudor, but don’t keep count – I have more than one favorite of most everything.
Stay tuned – coming soon is Unabashed apparel’s first giveaway!
Oh, I so know what you mean. I am forcing myself to do the chores, but I’d rather be writing and drawing.
The foxglove are beautiful. I’ve been thinking about adding them and gladioli to my gardend this spring. They’re not food and they’re annuals, but oh, aren’t they glorious?
You know – I’ve always liked that whole “english or french” garden look where they throw all the plants and flowers about together. Some year I’m going to throw in a bit of rainbow chard next to my coneflowers and bachelor buttons. – Flowers feed the soul – plant on my friend!
